WMMR's Markus Goldman interview 1/23/11Jan. 24, 2011
I was interviewed by
Markus Goldman from Philadelphia's 93.3 WMMR which aired on Sunday 1/23/2011. The topic of discussion was A New You in 2011. We discussed exercising properly to maximize both your potential and the results by using proper form during your workouts. Each question lead to more questions and we talked so much that we had to do this in two parts. Part 2 will air next Sunday, 1/30/2011 at 6:30AM on
WMMR .

Dwayne, what a great interview!!! You said it like " how it is" no over promising and any expectations from listeners...just the facts and truth.
I really enjoyed it because the fact that you explain what strength training is and how it should be done in a way that is very simple and easy to understand.
Not to go into too much details of science aspect of it instead recommendation of a book called "Body by science" for reference.
It is definitely my choice of the training center base on your in-depth knowledge and scientific approach on strength training.
I am looking forward to hear 2nd part of the interview.
BTW, You have a voice to die for ;)

It makes me happy when we can get the information and science behind exercise out there. So many people think its just about moving weights around. The science behind it will show you how to do it in a safe, effective, and time efficient manner.

Excellent interview, Dwayne! It helped that Markus asked some good questions, and your elaborations rounded out the conversation. It's rare that a physical trainer actually talks about the science behind exercise, especially in strength training.
Dwayne, great interview about strength training on WMMR Sunday morning! I find it very interesting to hear about the science of the workout as opposed to just lifting weight. I certainly like the idea about minimizing the time necessary for workouts by using science and correct posture, as time is probably the most scare resource in our lives these days. I think I'll need to make an appointment and come see you at Vertex Fitness. Your philosopy about strength training sounds very refreshing!
